Scotland head coach Pedro Martinez Losa has added Jodi McLeary to his squad for the double header against Belgium. The Rangers midfielder replaces Celtic's Maria McAneny, who withdrew from the group due to injury, according to the Scottish Football Association. McLeary joined the senior camp on Tuesday morning to begin preparations for the first fixture in Leuven.
The national team faces Belgium away on Friday before returning to Glasgow for the reverse fixture on Tuesday. McAneny missed Celtic's recent league outing before her withdrawal was confirmed. McLeary has previously represented Scotland at various youth levels and earns a place in the senior setup following consistent performances in the Scottish Women's Premier League.
Scotland currently sit in the qualifying group alongside Belgium, Serbia, and Slovakia. Martinez Losa's side aims to secure points in the upcoming matches to improve their standing in the quest for World Cup qualification, per Sky Sports. The squad remains at 23 players following the late change in personnel.
