Manchester City are reportedly leading the pursuit of Bournemouth winger Antoine Semenyo ahead of the January transfer window. The Ghana international, aged 25, has emerged as a key target for the Premier League champions.
Semenyo has scored eight goals and provided three assists in 16 Premier League appearances this season. His goal threat, versatility, and high work-rate are understood to be key factors attracting City's interest. He notably scored against Manchester City in November 2024.
A £65 million release clause in his Bournemouth contract becomes active in early January. Reports indicate Semenyo prefers a move to the Etihad Stadium, driven by a desire for silverware. Chelsea, Liverpool, and Manchester United also showed interest, though Chelsea have reportedly withdrawn.
Bournemouth manager Andoni Iraola acknowledged the "noise" surrounding Semenyo but hopes to retain the player.
