Dino Maamria has left his position as head coach of Barrow after only 28 days in post. The League Two side confirmed the departure of the former Burton Albion manager on Wednesday, according to Sky Sports. Maamria took charge of the Cumbrian club in February but leaves after a short tenure including one victory and five defeats. He becomes the third head coach to depart the SO Legal Stadium in 2026, following the exits of Stephen Clemence and Paul Mullin earlier this year, per The Guardian.
Barrow currently sit in the League Two relegation zone following a run of poor form. The club directors stated they will begin the search for a permanent successor immediately. Assistant coach Gary Taylor-Fletcher is expected to oversee first-team duties on an interim basis until the board makes a new appointment. Barrow face a trip to Forest Green Rovers in their next league fixture on Saturday. The club has not provided specific details regarding the reasons for the change in management at this stage.
