Chief operating officer Keith Lasley says St Mirren want a manager to lead the club through Scottish Cup and Premiership challenges.

St Mirren have started searching for a new manager following the departure of Stephen Robinson to Aberdeen on 12 March 2026. Robinson left Paisley after his contractual compensation clause was triggered, ending a four-year tenure that included a Premier Sports Cup victory in December.

Chief operating officer Keith Lasley stated the board is now looking for a successor to galvanise the team. The club currently sits 10th in the Scottish Premiership, according to The Guardian. They are also preparing for a Scottish Cup semi-final against Celtic at Hampden Park on 19 April 2026.

Craig McLeish is leading an interim coaching team alongside Jamie Langfield and Allan McManus. McLeish took charge for the 1-0 defeat by Rangers on 15 March 2026 and remains in place for the upcoming match against Falkirk. Former Scotland international Charlie Adam is reportedly interested in the vacancy, per the Daily Record. The club hopes for a swift resolution to the appointment process, according to official club statements.
