The Kosovo national team hosts Turkey at the Stadiumi Fadil Vokrri on Tuesday, 31 March. The winner of this single-leg play-off final will secure a place in Group D at the 2026 World Cup alongside Australia, Paraguay, and the United States.
Kosovo reached this stage after a 4-3 semi-final victory against Slovakia in Bratislava on 26 March. Fisnik Asllani equalised for the visitors before goals from Florent Muslija and Kreshnik Hajrizi completed a comeback. Turkey progressed to the final after defeating Romania 1-0, according to FIFA.
Manager Franco Foda described the matchup as a 50-50 contest during a pre-match press conference in Pristina. The Kosovo government has promised the squad a €1m bonus if they achieve qualification, per Rediff.
Turkey, led by Vincenzo Montella, aims to return to the tournament for the first time since 2002. English referee Michael Oliver will officiate the fixture, which kicks off at 18:45 GMT, as reported by Türkiye Today.
