Former Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp has described reports linking him to the Real Madrid head coach role as nonsense. The German coach left Anfield at the end of the 2023-24 season and has remained out of professional football since his departure. Speaking at an event in Berlin, Klopp addressed rumours that he would replace Carlo Ancelotti this summer, according to The Guardian.
Klopp stated that while he currently enjoys life away from the touchline, he does not rule out a return to management eventually. He clarified that any immediate move to the Spanish capital is not planned, per Sky Sports. The 58-year-old spent nine years at Liverpool, winning eight trophies including the Premier League and Champions League.
Recent speculation had suggested the Spanish giants were preparing a contract offer for the coach. However, Klopp insisted he has not held discussions with any clubs regarding a new role. He remains committed to his sabbatical for the time being, despite ongoing interest from several European sides.
