Liverpool teenager Kieran Morrison has received his first senior international call-up for Northern Ireland ahead of a friendly match.

Northern Ireland manager Michael O'Neill has named Kieran Morrison in the senior squad for the first time. The 18-year-old winger previously represented the under-19 side, according to the Irish Football Association. Morrison recently signed his first professional contract with Liverpool in April 2024, per the Premier League club.

Born in Manchester, Morrison qualifies for Northern Ireland through his heritage. He has made 20 appearances for Liverpool in the U18 Premier League during the 2023-24 season, scoring 11 goals. O'Neill described the player as a leader within his age group during recent international windows.

Northern Ireland are preparing for a fixture against Andorra as part of their June international schedule. Morrison joins several other young players in a squad focused on development. The winger has been a regular starter for Liverpool at youth level since joining from Manchester United as an under-14 player, according to Liverpool FC. He remains eligible to represent England but has committed to the Northern Ireland setup.
