Leicester City owner Aiyawatt 'Top' Srivaddhanaprabha has taken responsibility for the club's fall from Premier League champions.

Leicester City chairman Aiyawatt 'Top' Srivaddhanaprabha has accepted blame for the club's recent decline. His comments were made in his first interview with British media in a decade, published on Tuesday. The club, which achieved the Premier League title and an FA Cup triumph under King Power ownership, has since experienced a significant downturn. Leicester were relegated from the Premier League in the 2024-25 season, returning to the Championship.

The Foxes currently occupy 14th position in the Championship table as of January 25, 2026. This mid-table standing follows a period of inconsistent results, culminating in the sacking of manager Martí Cifuentes on Sunday. Srivaddhanaprabha described the decision to dismiss Cifuentes as "difficult" but necessary to improve performances and act in Leicester City's best interests. Supporters have expressed disillusionment with the ownership amidst the club's struggles.
