Manchester United winger Jadon Sancho is expected to leave the club permanently during the upcoming summer transfer window. Sancho has not appeared in a Premier League fixture for United in nearly three years, according to Sky Sports. The 25-year-old forward previously joined the club from Borussia Dortmund for a fee of £73m in 2021.
Relations between Sancho and manager Erik ten Hag became strained in September 2023 after a public disagreement regarding training performances. This dispute led to Sancho's exclusion from first-team facilities and a subsequent loan return to Borussia Dortmund in January 2024. Although he helped the German side reach a Champions League final, his future remains away from Old Trafford, per The Guardian.
United officials reportedly aim to recoup a portion of the original transfer fee to fund new signings. Chelsea had previously secured a loan deal for the player with an obligation to buy, but current reports indicate he will be seeking a fresh permanent move. His contract with Manchester United is scheduled to expire in June 2026.
