Ipswich Town Women completed the loan signing of Everton centre-back Kenzie Weir on Tuesday. The 21-year-old defender joins the club for the remainder of the current Women's Super League 2 season.
Weir, a Scotland youth international, signed a new one-year contract with Everton in May 2025, extending her stay with the Toffees until June 2026. She has previously gained valuable experience through loan spells, including time at Lewes and Glasgow City, where she also played in the Champions League.
Ipswich Town Women are competing in WSL2 for the first time in their history during the 2025/26 season. The league campaign began on 5 September 2025 and is scheduled to conclude on 3 May 2026. This acquisition aims to strengthen the Ipswich defence for the second half of their debut WSL2 campaign. Ipswich were promoted to WSL2 after winning the FA Women's National League South in the 2024-25 season.
