Messi, who led Argentina to World Cup victory in 2022, has scored 25 goals in 29 appearances for the Herons. He also helped the club secure its first trophy by winning the Leagues Cup shortly after joining. The 38-year-old forward currently serves as the captain of the side, per Reuters.
Inter Miami owners Jorge and Jose Mas stated that the dedication serves as a permanent mark of Messi's legacy at the club. The stand features new signage and branding to commemorate the player's achievements. The team currently sits at the top of the Eastern Conference standings, according to Major League Soccer officials.
