Hibernian has rejected an initial bid from Hellas Verona for Scotland international striker Kieron Bowie. The Italian Serie A club submitted an offer understood to be worth around £4 million, plus potential add-ons, on Tuesday. Hibs value the twenty-three-year-old forward significantly higher, reportedly in the region of £6.5 million.
The Easter Road club is reportedly bracing itself for a potential bidding war, with at least two other unnamed Italian Serie A sides also showing interest in Bowie. English Championship clubs, along with Scottish giants Celtic and Rangers, have also monitored the player's situation.
Club sources indicate there is no immediate pressure to sell Bowie in the current transfer window. Hibernian may opt to wait for a more substantial offer that aligns with their valuation. Hellas Verona, currently battling relegation in Serie A, may return with an improved proposal before the transfer window closes.
