Hearts lead as Celtic, Rangers face fresh twists

Football

Hearts lead the Scottish Premiership as Celtic secured a late win, while Rangers dropped points in a dramatic week.

Hearts currently lead the Scottish Premiership title race. The Edinburgh club secured a 1-0 derby victory over Hibernian on 10 February 2026, extending their advantage at the top of the table.

Celtic responded with a 2-1 home win against Livingston on 11 February. New signing Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain scored a stoppage-time winner on his debut at Parkhead. This result leaves Celtic six points behind Hearts, with one game in hand.

Rangers, managed by Danny Rohl, suffered a setback on the same day. They drew 1-1 away to Motherwell, with Stephen Welsh scoring a late equaliser for the hosts. Rangers now sit five points adrift of leaders Hearts.

An earlier fixture between Aberdeen and Celtic on 4 February was postponed due to heavy rain, further adding to the complexity of the title run-in.
