The Scottish League 1 side currently shares Zibi Stadium with Albion Rovers after leaving their traditional base during the previous summer. The move follows months of negotiations regarding the stadium lease and ownership, according to STV News.
Club owners expressed their intention to restore the team to the South Lanarkshire venue to help stabilise the financial position of the organisation. Hamilton currently sits in the relegation play-off positions in the Scottish League 1 table, per Sky Sports. The board stated that returning to the town remains a priority for the supporters and the local community.
Construction crews are expected to carry out maintenance on the artificial surface and spectator stands before the start of the new term. The club previously occupied the 6,000-capacity stadium for more than 20 years before the recent move.
