Steve Clarke has named his Scotland squad to face Japan and Ivory Coast, welcoming back goalkeeper Angus Gunn following an injury.

Scotland manager Steve Clarke has recalled Angus Gunn for the upcoming international fixtures against Japan and Ivory Coast. The Norwich City goalkeeper missed previous selections due to a muscular injury but returns to the 25-man group. Heart of Midlothian duo Craig Gordon and Zander Clark also feature in the goalkeeping department, according to the Scottish Football Association.

Lennon Miller and Ewan Wilson have both been omitted from the senior selection. The Motherwell pair will instead join the under-21 squad for their respective fixtures. Clarke has opted for experience as the national team continues preparations for the World Cup finals, per Sky Sports.

Lewis Ferguson remains included after his return from a long-term knee injury earlier this season. The squad travels to face Japan first before a neutral venue fixture against Ivory Coast. These matches represent the final scheduled opportunities for players to secure positions before the summer tournament, according to reports from The Guardian. No new injury concerns were reported following the latest round of domestic league matches.
