Fulham are nearing a deal to sign United States international Ricardo Pepi from PSV Eindhoven. The striker arrived in London on Wednesday to undergo a medical examination, according to Sky Sports. The transfer fee for the 23-year-old is reported to be £28.5m.
Pepi joined the Dutch side from Augsburg in 2023. He has scored 12 goals in the Eredivisie this season, per statistics from ESPN. The move follows interest from several European clubs during the January transfer window.
Manager Marco Silva identified the forward as a primary target to strengthen the Fulham attack for the remainder of the Premier League campaign. Personal terms are understood to have been agreed between the player and the West London club. If the medical is successful, the American international will become the most expensive signing of the spring period for the Cottagers. Fulham currently occupy a mid-table position in the top flight, according to the Premier League.
