The Football Supporters' Association (FSA) has filed a formal complaint with Fifa regarding ticket prices for the 2026 World Cup. The fan group raised concerns over "excessive" costs for the tournament, which takes place in Canada, Mexico, and the United States. According to the FSA, the current pricing structure risks excluding many loyal supporters from attending matches.
The complaint also highlights "unfair purchasing conditions" imposed on fans. The FSA noted that supporters face significant financial pressure due to the price increases compared to previous tournaments. Per The Guardian, the organisation represents football fans in England and Wales and has previously campaigned against rising match-day costs.
Fifa has not yet issued a formal response to the specific allegations. The 2026 event will be the first edition to feature 48 teams, resulting in more matches across 16 host cities. Sky Sports reports that fans are increasingly concerned about the total cost of travel, accommodation, and tickets for the expanded competition.
