Tottenham manager Thomas Frank stated the transfer market is not akin to the video game *Football Manager*. He made the comments during a press conference on Friday, explaining the real-world complexities of player acquisitions. Frank remarked that the process would be "a lot easier" if it mirrored the game, but also "a little bit more boring".
Frank confirmed Tottenham "did everything" to sign forward Antoine Semenyo earlier this month. Despite Tottenham's considerable efforts, Semenyo ultimately joined Premier League rivals Manchester City in a deal reportedly worth between £64m and £65m.
The manager highlighted the Lewis family's commitment to improving the squad, noting their willingness to invest in significant signings. Semenyo, who previously played for Bournemouth, completed his transfer to Manchester City, becoming a notable January acquisition.
