Forest Agree Ortega Deal, Target Inter's Frattesi

Football

Nottingham Forest have agreed a deal for Manchester City goalkeeper Stefan Ortega and are pursuing Inter Milan midfielder Davide Frattesi.

Nottingham Forest have agreed a deal to sign Manchester City goalkeeper Stefan Ortega. The transfer for the German international is reportedly worth up to £500,000. Ortega is expected to undergo a medical today, Friday, January 31, before signing a short-term contract at the City Ground. Forest sought a new goalkeeper after John Victor sustained a season-ending knee injury. Ortega has seen limited playing time at Manchester City this season.

Forest are also targeting Inter Milan midfielder Davide Frattesi. An agreement is reportedly in place for a loan deal with an option to buy, valued around £35 million. However, Inter will only sanction Frattesi's departure if they secure a replacement. Inter are said to be interested in Liverpool's Curtis Jones, but Liverpool are reportedly unwilling to sell the player. Frattesi has given his approval for a move to Forest.
