The first open sale for the 2026 World Cup reveals top-tier ticket prices for the final in New Jersey have reached nearly $11,000.

Fifa began the first general sale of tickets for the 2026 World Cup on Thursday. The governing body is charging up to $10,990 for the most expensive individual seats at the final, according to The Athletic. This match will take place at MetLife Stadium in New Jersey on 19 July 2026.

Prices for the tournament opener at the Estadio Azteca in Mexico City start at $145 for the cheapest category, per Sky Sports. The highest-priced tickets for the opening fixture are listed at $1,325. Group stage matches in the United States, Canada, and Mexico have a minimum price of $65 for local residents.

Fifa expects the 104-game tournament to generate record revenue. Total attendance will increase as the competition expands to 48 teams for the first time. The sales process follows a random selection draw held earlier in the year. Demand for the final remains high despite the premium pricing structure for hospitality and category one seating.
