The Football Association of Ireland has submitted a preliminary bid to UEFA to host the 2029 Women's Champions League final.

The Football Association of Ireland (FAI) formally submitted a preliminary bid dossier to UEFA on Wednesday, February 4, 2026. This bid aims for Dublin's Aviva Stadium to host the 2029 UEFA Women's Champions League final.

The FAI has collaborated with the Department of Culture, Communications and Sport, alongside Dublin City Council, during this process. The association cites its experience in successfully hosting UEFA Europa League finals in 2011 and 2024, as well as ongoing preparations for UEFA Euro 2028, as key strengths supporting its proposal.

Ireland faces competition from other nations. Wales, Switzerland, and France have also expressed interest in staging the 2029 final. The FAI must submit its final bid dossier by June 10, 2026, with UEFA expected to announce the chosen host in September 2026.
