Everton have reached an agreement with Chelsea to sign 19-year-old England Under-21 winger Tyrique George on an initial loan deal. The agreement includes an option for the Merseyside club to make the move permanent at the end of the current season. George has been granted permission to travel for a medical, with the deal pending ratification by Everton.
George has made 11 first-team appearances for Chelsea this season, with only four in the Premier League. The young winger is seeking consistent playing time, which this move to Goodison Park could provide. Everton are keen to strengthen their attacking options, particularly following the season-ending injury to Jack Grealish.
Chelsea head coach Liam Rosenior had confirmed George was likely to depart before the transfer deadline. George, who joined Chelsea as an Under-8, previously had a move to Fulham collapse on deadline day last summer.
