The Scottish Cup quarter-finals begin this evening as eight former winners compete for a place in the semi-finals at Hampden Park.

Holders Aberdeen travel to face Livingston on Friday night to open the quarter-final fixtures. The Pittodrie club defeated Rangers in the previous season's final to secure the trophy, according to the Scottish Football Association. They face a Livingston side currently competing in the Scottish Championship.

On Saturday, Hibernian host Rangers at Easter Road. Rangers reached this stage after a victory against Ayr United in the fifth round. Celtic travel to face Motherwell on Sunday afternoon, per Sky Sports. The Parkhead club seeks to regain the trophy they last won in 2023.

The final tie of the round features Kilmarnock against Heart of Midlothian at Rugby Park on Sunday evening. All eight clubs remaining in the competition have previously lifted the trophy. Winners of these ties will progress to the semi-finals scheduled for late April at Hampden Park. Aberdeen manager Jimmy Thelin told reporters that his squad remains focused on defending their title despite a congested fixture list.
