Arsenal academy player Max Dowman appeared for the first team during a Premier League fixture against Everton on Saturday.

Max Dowman became one of the youngest players to feature for Arsenal in a 2-1 victory against Everton at the Emirates Stadium. The 16-year-old midfielder entered the match as a second-half substitute. According to the Premier League, Dowman had previously set a record as the youngest goalscorer in UEFA Youth League history at age 14.

Arsenal took the lead through Kai Havertz before Bukayo Saka doubled the advantage. Everton narrowed the margin late in the match, but the London club secured three points to remain in the title race. The result moves Arsenal to second in the table, trailing Manchester City by two points, per Sky Sports.

Manager Mikel Arteta praised the academy graduate's composure during the final stages of the game. Dowman has trained regularly with the senior squad since January 2026. The midfielder signed a scholarship agreement with the club earlier this season. Arsenal next face Chelsea in a midweek London derby, according to The Guardian.
