Tottenham Hotspur have appointed former Brighton boss Roberto De Zerbi as their new head coach following a period of instability. The North London club currently sits in the bottom half of the Premier League table after a series of defeats, according to Sky Sports. De Zerbi replaces the previous management team as the club attempts to secure its top-flight status.
Former manager Tony Pulis noted that the squad requires a clear tactical identity to improve defensive records. The team has conceded 54 goals this season, the highest in the top 10, per Premier League data. De Zerbi is expected to implement his possession-based style to stabilise the side.
Tottenham face a difficult run of fixtures in April, including matches against top-four contenders. The club hierarchy remains focused on long-term stability and youth development under the new regime. Per The Guardian, De Zerbi has signed a contract through to June 2028. His first match in charge will be at the weekend.
