Arsenal and Bayern Munich have already secured their places in the UEFA Champions League Round of 16. Six direct qualification spots remain open as the league phase nears its conclusion on January 28.
Real Madrid, Tottenham Hotspur, Paris Saint-Germain, Sporting CP, Manchester City, and Atalanta currently occupy the remaining top eight positions. These clubs are in strong contention for a bye to the next stage.
Inter Milan, Atletico Madrid, and Liverpool are among those just outside the top eight, pushing for direct qualification. Barcelona, Chelsea, Juventus, and Newcastle United have also secured at least a knockout phase play-off place.
Teams finishing between ninth and 24th in the league table will enter a two-legged play-off round to determine the other eight teams progressing to the Round of 16.
