Rado Vidosic, Brighton's head of women's and girls' coaching, died on Tuesday, January 27, aged 64, after a battle with cancer. Interim manager Chris Roberts paid tribute to Vidosic, describing him as a truly exceptional individual he had met.
Vidosic joined Brighton in January 2025, working alongside his son, Dario Vidosic, who is the women's team head coach. Dario had recently taken a leave of absence for private family reasons.
Brighton Women and Girls' managing director Zoe Johnson expressed deep sadness at the news, stating Vidosic was an integral part of the club and his impact would be remembered. Women's chair Michelle Walder also highlighted his role in building a strong team culture.
Rado Vidosic had an extensive coaching career spanning nearly two decades, primarily in Australian football. He held head coach and assistant roles with several clubs, including Melbourne City, Brisbane Roar, and Sydney FC, winning multiple titles.
