Brighton & Hove Albion is poised to decline a £20 million offer from Nottingham Forest for midfielder Yasin Ayari.

Brighton & Hove Albion will reject a £20 million bid from Nottingham Forest for midfielder Yasin Ayari. The Swedish international, aged 22, remains under contract with the Seagulls until June 2027.

Ayari joined Brighton in January 2023 from AIK on a four-and-a-half-year deal. After initial loan spells at Coventry City and Blackburn Rovers, he has become a regular starter for the club during the 2024/25 season. He scored his first goal for Brighton in April 2025 during a 3-2 victory against West Ham United.

His dynamic movement in midfield has impressed head coach Fabian Hürzeler, with Ayari playing 1,660 minutes across 29 games this season. Brighton values the versatile midfielder highly and is keen to retain his services. Nottingham Forest must now decide whether to submit an improved offer for the player.
