Bohemians midfielder Aoibhe Brennan has joined the Republic of Ireland senior squad for upcoming European qualifiers against Poland.

The 17-year-old midfielder received her first senior international call-up for the double-header against Poland in April. National team head coach Eileen Gleeson selected the teenager following her performances in the League of Ireland Women's Premier Division. Brennan previously represented Ireland at under-17 and under-19 levels, according to the Football Association of Ireland.

Ireland host Poland at Tallaght Stadium on 4 April before the return fixture in Gdynia four days later. The squad includes several established players, such as captain Katie McCabe and Denise O'Sullivan. Per the Irish Examiner, Brennan's inclusion follows a series of impressive displays for her club side, Bohemians, during the early stages of the domestic season.

The fixtures form part of the qualifying process for the 2027 FIFA Women's World Cup. Gleeson's side currently occupies third place in the group standings after the opening rounds of matches. Bohemians officials confirmed the player will join the international camp in Dublin on Monday to begin preparations for the first fixture.
