Bayern Munich could hand teenager Leonard Prescott a professional debut in the Champions League on Wednesday evening.

Bayern Munich face a selection crisis ahead of their Champions League quarter-final first leg. According to Sky Sports, senior goalkeepers Manuel Neuer and Sven Ulreich are unavailable due to injuries sustained in training. Third-choice goalkeeper Daniel Peretz also remains sidelined with a long-term muscle tear, per the German club.

Manager Thomas Tuchel is expected to select Leonard Prescott for the match against Arsenal. Prescott is 16 years old and usually represents the club at under-19 level. If he starts, he will become the youngest goalkeeper to play in the history of the competition, according to UEFA records.

The teenager joined the academy from the youth ranks of 1860 Munich in 2023. He has kept five clean sheets in 10 appearances for the youth side this season, per official club statistics. The first-team squad travels to London later today for the fixture at Emirates Stadium. Reserve goalkeeper Tom Ritzy Huelsemann is also in contention for a place on the substitutes' bench.
