Arsenal sign goalkeeper Votikova on loan

Arsenal Women have completed the loan signing of Czech Republic international goalkeeper Barbora Votikova. She joins the club from Slavia Prague for the remainder of the 2025-26 season. The 29-year-old brings significant experience, having previously played for Paris Saint-Germain and Tottenham Hotspur before rejoining Slavia Prague in August 2024. Votikova's arrival provides crucial cover for Arsenal's goalkeeping department. First-choice goalkeeper Manuela Zinsberger suffered an anterior cruciate ligament injury in October, while Anneke Borbe was recently stretched off during the Champions Cup final. With 56 senior international caps and Champions League experience, Votikova is expected to offer valuable competition and depth for the remainder of the campaign. She expressed her honour at joining what she called "one of the biggest clubs in the world".
